INFUSED: red, brux, & blue

red, brux, and blue: an infusion that starts with our base früchte – berliner weisse – for the base beer. We then added Brettanomyces bruxellensis for the secondary fermentation. To finish it off we added strawberries and blueberries for a patriotic themed sour beer.
the result: This beer resembles a cider/sour hybrid with it’s mild tartness and sweet fruit flavors. A little funkiness from the brett and fresh strawberries and blueberries make this a great patio sipper for the 4th!
What’s an infusion? We do infusions every Thursday – always starting with one of our regular beers, then adding different flavors using adjuncts like fresh fruit, spices & herbs, unique extracts, and more! Sometimes we mimic our favorite desserts, cocktails, barrel aging, fruit beers, or just experiment to see what you think of the end result! We’re not saying they’re for everyone…but if you find one that interests you be sure to get here right away because they don’t last long. We only make 5 gallons and serve it until it’s gone. Stop in for a sample, order a 5oz pour, or go for the full 12 ounces! The only restriction is we don’t sell howlers of them until Sunday – if there’s any left – and no growler sales of the infused.
